If there is a problem with the car shock absorber, the vibration can be clearly felt and it needs to be replaced in time. How to replace the car shock absorber?
1. First loosen the wheel nuts in diagonal order, but do not loosen them.
2. Lift the car with a lift. The height is not too high and the operation is convenient.
3. Unscrew all the wheel nuts in diagonal order and remove the wheel.
4. In some models, it may be necessary to remove the brake cylinder to facilitate the removal of the shock absorber, remove the fixing bolts of the arm, and then loosen the fixing nuts of the shock absorber arm.
5. Fix the shock absorber arm with a caliper jack, open the engine hood, loosen the body fixing nut at the upper end of the shock absorber (not completely unscrewed), turn the caliper jack to lift the shock absorber arm upward until the lower end of the shock absorber is detached from the front axle fixing, then slowly remove the shock absorber, and then slowly lower the shock absorber arm until the shock absorber elasticity is completely released, then completely loosen the body fixing nut at the upper end of the shock absorber and remove the shock absorber.
6. After the shock absorber is removed, fix the spring with a shock absorber spring remover to prevent the spring from moving up and jumping out when removing the top screw.
7. Remove and replace the damaged parts of the shock absorber and rubber shield. If the shock absorber spring is not severely rusted or broken, it does not need to be replaced.
8. When reassembling the shock absorber, apply grease to improve the wear resistance.
9. Fix the upper end of the shock absorber to the car body to ensure that the shock absorber does not fall off.
10. Fix the shock absorber arm with a caliper jack, lift the shock absorber arm upward, ensure that the lower part of the shock absorber can be placed on the bracket of the front axle, fix the lower part of the shock absorber arm and the front axle together with bolts, and fix the nut of the shock absorber arm, and then tighten the upper body fixing nut of the shock absorber into place. Replace the remaining three shock absorbers in sequence according to the same steps.
1. After replacing the shock absorber, fix the four wheel fixing nuts in diagonal order (do not tighten them), and tighten the wheel fixing nuts with a wrench after lowering the car.
12.The shock absorber has been replaced.
